Real Ale in Gloucestershire

There are some 800 pubs in Gloucestershire and therefore there has been a need for a guide to help the drinker find where to visit in the locality.

The eighth edition of Real Ale in Gloucestershire (RAIG) was published in November 1996 by the Gloucestershire Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA). This guide is the most comprehensive listing of  Gloucestershire pubs. For those pubs serving real ale (now the majority) information on the beers sold, facilities available and a short description are included. A short overview of Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds is also included.
