More than 400 years old, this much
altered and expanded multi-roomed inn
stands in superb walking country near
Woodchester Mansion. Lively banter fills
the bar, with attractive wooden
furniture gracing the eating area. This
is a dog friendly village local, despite
the hordes clamouring to try the menu.
Interesting range of guest ales,
including local brews. The wheelchair
access is good despite the multiple
levels of car parking. There is a
beautiful terrace with lovely views over
the valley. The pub is a regular venue
for the Stroud Morris Men. Local CAMRA
Cider Pub of the Year.
