Although this 17th century pub, named
after George Spencer Churchill, has
always had a good reputation for food,
it is also a place one can go to for an
excellent pint. The pub has been owned
by the same couple for ten years and has
an open plan L-shaped layout with the
bar in the middle, timbered ceilings,
inglenook fireplace with soot door, and
flag and oak flooring. There is an array
of prints, photos of Aunt Sally winners
and hanging mugs over the bar. The menu
is chalked up on the wall and there are
no table bookings. There are three
en-suite bedrooms. Aunt Sally played.
