Built on the site of an old mill house,
the Anchor became a public house during
Oldbury's sea trading days when barges
pulled up alongside. Now a traditional,
two-bar country pub with a dining room,
delightful garden with benched seating
and Petanque/Boules pitch. The pub has
an unrivalled reputation for its food,
serving meals made from local village
produce, not forgetting Severn salmon
and mullet in season. Beautiful walking
area that is well sign-posted. The
nearby church commands a wonderful view
of the Severn. Wheelchair access is via
side door.
