HOOK NORTON Hooky (H)
GUEST BEER Three Ales (sourced locally; usually Ramsbury)  (H)

Built in 1699, this old wheelwrights
house (an original template still adorns
the attractive garden) has been selling
ale since the Beer Act 1830. Bordering
the River Churn this spacious hostelry
has two main areas: the left hand side
of the building for LocAle-seeking
drinkers, featuring flagstone floors and
an inglenook fireplace, the other half
given over to the restaurant and dining
areas. Several small beer festivals are
hosted each year to slake the thirsts of
the pub "rowing club".
