GREENE KING Old Speckled Hen (H)
SHEPHERD NEAME Spitfire (H)
GUEST BEER Regular (H)
A friendly two-bar pub with a lively bar
of locals and a quieter lounge, where
meals are served. There is no food on
Sunday evenings. A rare outlook for
Spitfire in the county. Real Ale
outsells lager here and the Beer
Festival in September may well become a
regular feature. Customers may use the
Town Hall car park next to the pub. The
Gloucester to Chepstow bus or train
service make a pleasant change to the
car. The Dean Forest Steam Railway
starts from Lydney.
