This partly timber-framed building dates
from the 1680s, but has been a pub for a
century. The pub has flagstoned floors,
inglenooks and a understated traditional
decor. Try a 'room crawl' through the
various drinking areas off the main bar.
The family room has a table football
game. The lounge has two dining areas
set back from the bar where
award-winning food at sensible prices
making booking always advisable. A
large pleasant garden at the front is
complemented by a sunny, small
courtyard. Ample car parking.
