Tours by arrangement
Goff's is a family concern that started brewing in 1994, using plant
purchased from Nethergate Brewery. Now brewing to capacity, it supplies
beer direct to 200 outlets and through wholesalers.
Goff's Beers
- Jouster (OG 1040, ABV 4%)
A drinkable, tawny-coloured ale, with a light hoppiness in the aroma.
It has a good balance of malt and bitterness, in the mouth, underscored
by fruitiness, with a clean, hoppy aftertaste.
- Tournament (OG 1038, ABV 4%)
An amber-coloured, thirst quenching session bitter with a delicate floral
aroma and a bitter-sweet finish.
- White Knight (OG 1046, ABV 4.7%)
A well-hopped bitter with a light colour and full-bodied taste.
Bitterness predominates in the mouth and leads to a dry, hoppy
aftertaste. Deceptively drinkable for its strength.
- Black Knight (OG 1053, ABV 5.3%)
A dark, ruby-red tinted beer with a strong chocolate malt aroma.
It has a smooth, dry, malty taste, with a subtle hoppiness, leading
to a dry finish. A classic winter porter.
'Ales of the Round Table', seasonal beers: Mordred (ABV 4.2%, Jan-Feb),
Lancelot (ABV 4.5% March-April), Galahad (ABV 4.3%, May-June), Excalibur
(ABV 3.8%, July), Lamorak (ABV 5%, August), Merlin (ABV 4.3%, Sept-Nov),
Camelot (ABV 4.4%, Nov-Dec).
