Freeminer Brewery celebrated 10 years of brewing in the Forest of Dean in 2002
and over this time has expanded from a 5-barrel to a 40-barrel plant to cope with
an increase in cask and bottle ales in Britain and abroad. A number of independent
wholesalers are used to ensure a national distribution of the beers from its rural
location. Some 40 oulets are supplied direct.
The brewery is a member of SIBA.
Freeminer Beers
- Bitter (ABV 4%)
A light, hoppy session bitter with an intense hop aroma and a dry, hoppy
finish.
- Speculation Ale (ABV 4.8%)
An aromatic, chestnut-brown, full-bodied beer with a smooth, well-balanced
mix of malt and hops, and a predominantly hoppy aftertaste.
- Shakemantle Ginger Ale (ABV 5%)
A refreshing ginger ale. Unfined, with a high wheat content, it is like a
European-style wheat beer. Ginger dominates throughout, mingled with a light
hoppiness. Champion Beer of Britain Speciality Beer 1998.
- Trafalgar IPA (ABV 6%)
Pale, heavily hopped traditional IPA with a pronounced bitterness; hoppy nose,
malt and hops on the palate and a dry, hoppy finish.
- Morses Level (ABV 4%)
- Gold Standard (ABV 5%)
Seasonal Beer - Summer-Autumn
- Strip and At It (ABV 4%)
- Deep Shaft Stout (ABV 6.2%)
