This 300 year old stone-built inn has
recently changed hands after 20 years in
the same family. A pub since 1709; its
present name dates from the 1840s.
Although the interior is much changed,
the front bar still retains its huge
stone fireplace. The back bar is more
dining area but can still be used for
drinking. Guest beers include seasonal
ales from local breweries such as North
Cotswold. Behind the pub a courtyard
leads to a pretty garden by a stream.
The Cotswold Way starts nearby and
therefore the inn is popular with
walkers.
