This modern pub created an old-world
feel, is named after Charles Wheatstone
who was born in Barnwood in 1802.
Wheatstone inventions included the
electric telegraphy, the "Enchanted
Lyre" and the famous Wheatstone Bridge.
The pub is divided into many small
rooms. Food is served all day and fish
dishes, shown on the blackboard, are a
speciality. Patio garden area.
Accommodation is available in the
adjacent Premier Lodge.
